Owl Pen Books is located in the beautiful rolling hills of rural Washington County, in upstate New York. Located “on a back road off a back road,” we may be a little out of the way, but we promise you’ll enjoy the drive. Look for our red and white signs along the road to guide you. Please follow the signs for the large parking area.
Please use caution on Riddle Road.
After a wet summer and rough winter, it is especially bumpy.

on the road this spring and summer.

Directions
From Greenwich:
Take Prospect St heading north out of town (from Salem St or Gray Ave). Prospect St turns into North Road. Turn right on Christie Road. Take the first left onto Riddle Road. Owl Pen Books is 3/4 mile down the road, on your right.
From Cambridge:
Take 372 West and turn right onto County Road 62. Turn left onto County Road 61, then right on 29 East. Turn left onto Christie Road, then turn right to stay on Christie Road. Turn right onto Riddle Road. Owl Pen Books is 3/4 mile down the road, on your right.
Alternate Route: From 29, turn onto County Route 49. Turn left onto John Robertson Road, then turn right onto Christie Road. Take the first right onto Riddle Road. Owl Pen is 3/4 mile down the road, on your right.
This route will be inaccessible until June 2024 due to bridge work on Route 49 between Irwin Road and Ferguson Road. John Robertson Road will be accessible from north of Ferguson Road, coming from Cossayuna.
From Saratoga Springs:
Take 29 East to 40 North. Turn right on Spraguetown Road, then right on North Road and immediately turn left onto Christie Road. Take the first left onto Riddle Road. Owl Pen Books is 3/4 mile down the road, on your right.
From Glens Falls:
Take Main Street heading southeast and continue onto Fort Edward Road. Turn left onto 197 East, then right onto Broadway, left onto Argyle Street, and right onto 197 East. Continue through the village of Argyle onto 40 South. Turn left onto County Route 49. Turn right onto North Road, then left on Christie Road. Take the first left onto Riddle Road. Owl Pen Books is 3/4 mile down the road, on your right.
